Bald Head Island is the perfect paradise to explore by bicycle featuring gentle, coastal terrain free-from automobiles aside from the occasional golf cart. Riverside Outdoor Recreation offers bikes of all shapes and size for the whole family - conveniently located in the Marina just steps from the ferry landing.

RIVER

Bald Head Island's tidal creeks are one of North Carolina's natural treasures, perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. Don’t miss the great opportunity to see a vast array of wildlife while exploring Bald Head Creek and/or Fishing Creek. Go solo or with a guide to help you navigate "off the beaten track" and identify the wildlife you encounter along the way as well as give a brief history of Bald Head Island.

OCEAN

This Summer discover surfing in an ocean all to yourself with surf lessons from Riverside Adventure Company. Learn the secrets that make surfing easy with personalized, private or group instruction from a seasoned pro. Its a great experience for kids and adults. And if you aren’t looking to ride any waves, Riverside Outdoor Recreation offers beach chair and umbrella rentals to keep you comfy and cool from the shore.
